Mountains of Metal, by their own words, puts forth an irresistible array of the best Heavy Metal bands that hail from the great state of Kentucky. They have been holding a Mountains of Metal Festival since 2017. In 2021 they started a new Doom-specific festival at the same venue. The first iteration was one day and the following year they managed to add another day,

2022 Holler of Doom II[]
The second edition version of the festival took place 15 to 16 July 2022. In a change from the 2021 edition it featured several out of state bands (Karma Vulture, Wyndrider, Book of Wyrms and Caustic Casanova).[2]
