Heavy Rocks (Also known as Heavy Rocks 2022) is a studio album by the Japanese experimental rock band Boris. Released in August 2022 via Relapse Records., it would be the third studio album by Boris named Heavy Rocks (Preceded by the 2002 album Heavy Rocks and the 2011 album Heavy Rocks and released in line with the band's thirtieth anniversary. The album would be announced in May 2022 with the single "She is Burning" to promote the album.[1] A second single and video in "My Name is Blank" would follow on 4 August 2022.[2] Both videos would feature Muchio on drums and Atsuo as a lead vocalist.
"Ghostly Imagination" was previously recorded and released as a split cassette with Rocky & The Sweden in 2021.[3]
Heavy Rocks would attain positive reception from the likes of Metal Injection (8/10),[4] Blabbermouth (8/10)[5] and Your Last Rites[6] among others.
