A Eulogy For The Damned (2012) |
Healing Through Fire is the sixth studio album by the London, England heavy metal band Orange Goblin. Released in 2007 it would see the band shifting towards more of a heavy metal sound, with the band's themes inspired by The Great Plague of London and The Great Fire that followed.[1][2] It would notably be their first release not involved with longtime label Rise Above Records, thus released via Sanctuary in what would be their only release for the label as Sanctuary folded some months after it's release.
The initial release on CD also featured a live DVD recorded at The Mean Fiddler in London on 16 December 2006 (That year's Christmas showcase) and also includes some interviews and studio footage. A vinyl edition would be limited to 1000 copies and signed by the band. On 26 May 2014 (10 June 2014 in North America) Orange Goblin would re-issue Healing Through Fire through current label Candlelight Records, featuring two bonus tracks recorded on BBC Radio 1 at Maida Vale Studios.[3]
Healing Through Fire, in regards to reviews of the original release[4] and it's reissue, managed to attain generally positive reception.[5][6][7][8]
