HARLOT CHURCH[]
Harlot Church are a rock band from England formed in 2012. Their coming together was part of the evolutionary process Stoke-on-Trent creates when one band dies, another is formed.
History[]
The members of Harlot Church formed as a result of Patrick J's band The Laker Test folding around the same time The Slashers imploded, in which Hippi was a full time member. Jim Palmer, ex Charger, Murder One and Space Witch and current Ragging Speedhorn member joined on guitar to complete the trio.
Lore[]
Influences[]
Harlot Church list fellow Stoke-on-Trent bands Rise To Thunder, and Bleak Zero as Influences. Their sound is described as raw.
2012[]
Patrick floated an idea to Jim about rehearsing a new project after meeting at a Space Witch show Jim performed at. Hippi and Patrick had previously played in bands and were already looking to start something new. Originally rehearsing as a 4 piece, Harlot Church decided that as a 3 they would share vocal duties.
2014[]
The band had some notable support slots back in 2014. Supporting High On Fire, Crowbar and Bastards of The Skies and a number of headline appearances in Northern England. A notable acoustic in shop performance for record store day 2014 was also deemed a success, after adding long time friend 'H' playing a hung.
