Fuzz Manta was a stoner/blues band based out of Denmark. Forming in 2006 initially as a quintet and later as a quartet. Billing their music as "heavy hippie hard rock", Fuzz Manta perform a hard rock sound infused with blues, psychedelic and stoner, topped with the charismatic vocals of Lene Kjær Hvillum. The band largely toured Denmark and Germany and released four studio albums, two of which with German label Kozmik Artifactz.

Fuzz Manta started out a five piece stoner and heavy blues band in 2006, with their first show on 18 November 2006 in Copenhagen.[1] Following shows in Denmark and Germany along with a mini-album in On The Edge, the band's first full length CD album Smokerings saw release in 2009. A change in the lineup came by the end of 2009, and the new quartet (bass-guitar-drums-vocals) soon found its own style within trio based 70s rock. Revitalized and hungry we laid down the basic tracks for the next album in the rehearsal room during the course of summer and fall 2010 while continued touring took us to Sweden, Germany and Spain.

Opus II would be released on CD in December 2010 followed by a vinyl release in time for the March tour of Germany 2011. Signing to Kozmik Artifactz a third album in Vortex Memplex would quickly follow in September 2011. Later that year founding member Clod (bass) left the group in order to start a new band (Shivas Nat) together with Patrick from Highway Child. Fuzz Manta found a new bass player in Janus, he was the first to rehearse for the spot, and we didn't need to look any further. Janus joined us in spring 2012. The rest of the Vortex Memplex shows that were lined up for spring/summer 2012 were played, before we went into recording mode.

Working again with Kozmik Artifactz Fuzz Manta's fourth album The Stonewolf saw release circa 28 February 2014, featuring a thirty-four minute, multi-part title track and garnering a generally positive reception. The band would tour in November supporting The Stonewolf. On 27 January 2015 it would be announced that Fuzz Manta had broken up, with the members moving on to other projects in the Danish rock scene.[2]
