Flower of Disease is the second studio album by the California doom metal band Goatsnake. Recorded at Gradmaster Recordings with additional recording at The Gas Chamber,[1] it would be released on Halloween 2000 via Man's Ruin Records (North America) and Rise Above Records (Europe), with Southern Lord Records handling a vinyl edition the next year. It would be the only recordings with G. Stuart Dahlquist, as he would leave the band by the end of 2000, with Ron Holzner joining on bass in early 2001.[2] In 2010 Flower of Disease would be re-issued by Southern Lord in time for the band's 2010 reunion.
Flower of Disease would attain critical praise at the time of release[3] and retroactively in line with the reissue.[4][5][6]
