Thy Kingdom Scum is the fourth official studio album by the Japanese doom metal band Church of Misery. It would be released circa 21 May 2013 via Rise Above Records[1] and 11 June 2013 in North America via Metal Blade Records.[2] Notably it would be the only studio album to feature guitarist Ikuma Kawabe and the last record to feature longtime singer Hideki Fukasawa and drummer Junji Narita, as all three members would quite following a string of European tours in 2014.

Thy Kingdom Scum's album cover depicts Peter Kürten, also known as "The Vampire of Düsseldorf" and the "Düsseldorf Monster". The band originally intended to have Ian Brady & Myra Hindley featured on the album cover but would be nixed by the label out of concerns of sensitivity in the UK and a concern that UK record shops would refuse to stock the album with the original cover.[3] A music video would be shot for "Brother Bishop". Thy Kingdom Scum would rank #44 on Metal Assault's Top 50 Albums of 2013[4] and #12 on The 2013 Readers Poll for The Obelisk.[5]
