Electric Funeral Fest is an annual festival held every June in Denver, Colorado. Beginning in 2016 it is a showcase for heavy music of all varieties though often showcasing a fair amount of doom, sludge and stoner metal. Initially the festival was held at 3 King's Tavern and has since expanded to a fest held between three different venues.

The inaugural Electric Funeral Fest would be announced on 29 March 2016, featuring twenty bands over two days and billed by the organizers as "a two-day offering of all things heavy, featuring 20 of the best rock n' roll / metal bands in the North America.".[1] The festival would be held on 4 and 5 June 2016 at 3 King's Tavern.

2017Edit

The 2017 edition of Electric Funeral Fest would be held on 16 and 17 June 2017. Along with 3 King's Tavern, a second venue in the Hi-Dive would be added. The initial lineup would be announced on 23 February 2017 with Acid King as the first of two headliners. Later Corky Laing's Mountain would be added as the second headliner.

2018Edit

The 2017 edition of Electric Funeral Fest, named Electric Funeral Fest III, would be announced on 7 February 2018. Among the thirty bands announced for the lineup would be headliners Weedeater and Speedwolf, the latter performing a special reunion set.[2] It would also be announced that a third venue would be in the mix with the Mutiny Information Cafe being added as an all-ages, early day spot featuring a handful of bands. The final lineup would be announced by 27 April 2018. The 2018 edition would ultimately sell out and be held on 29 and 30 June 2018.

Notably The Midnight Ghost Train were intended to perform at Electric Funeral but dropped off, ultimately due to disbanding with their final show at The Maryland Doom Fest roughly a week prior.

2019Edit

The 2019 edition, entitled Electric Funeral IV, would be announced on 1 February 2019, initially announcing fifteen bands.[3] By 2 April the full lineup would be announced and nearly sold out.[4] Ultimately, Electric Funeral IV would be held on 14 and 15 June 2019.

Notably The Lion's Daughter would initially be announced but drop off a few weeks before the festival.
