Ed Gulli is a drummer based out of Maryland. Active mostly in the 1980s, he is best known as a drummer for The Obsessed, replacing founding drummer Dave Flood in 1984. Gulli's drum work would appear on several demos and notably, the band's self-titled album recorded in 1985 and released in 1990 via Hellhound Records. Little is known of Gulli beyond The Obsessed's first breakup.
In 2015 Gulli would perform again with Wino for the first time in thirty years, joining Spirit Caravan when Henry Vasquez was unavailable. The first performance with Gulli would be at The Maryland Doom Fest,[1] followed by a tour of North America that Fall and along with Spirit Caravan songs he would perform songs by The Obsessed, including three new songs that later appeared on the 2017 album Sacred. Gulli would amicably leave Spirit Caravan in early 2016, with The Obsessed reforming that same month.
In 2020 JB Matson, curator of The Maryland Doom Fest, would host a Gofundme to support Gulli who had fallen on hard times due to The CO-VID19 Pandemic. The Gofundme would raise nearly $4000.00 in support.[2]
