Doom or Be Doomed was a one-time festival held at Sidebar between 13 and 15 April 2007. This event was notably billed as the first doom metal festival in Baltimore, Maryland. The event itself mostly hosted traditional doom and a handful of Maryland Doom acts.
Background[]
On 8 November 2006, the festival would be announced via the Hellride Music Forums with over twenty bands initially announced and tickets onsale circa 1 January 2007, limited to 150.[1] Initially announced were reunion performances of Penance, Blood Farmers, Dream Death (Whom ended up cancelling) and Revelation. Revelation's reunion was especially notable as the band would perform two special sets on 14 and 15 April. One night would cover material from Salvations's Answer with it's respective lineup while the other covered material from Never Comes Silence with the respective lineup for that album. Later added would be a surprise reunion performance of underground doom legends Asylum. Bobby Liebling (Pentagram, Death Row) would also make an appearance as a guest during Unorthodox's performance.
