Dome of Rock is a festival held in Salzburg, Austria at the Salzburg Rockhouse. Established in 2016, Dome of Rock is a three-day festival composed to showcase a wide range of heavy music over two stages, along with featuring food trucks and vinyl DJs.
The inaugural Dome of Rock Festival would take place at Rockhouse Salzburg between 1 and 3 July 2016.[1] It is unknown if the festival followed the two-stage format of later editions and thus all bands listed below are in order of performance.[2][3][4]
The 2018 edition of Dome of Rock Festival would be announced for 22 - 24 November 2018, showcasing eighteen bands and the first time the festival would take place in November.[6]
The fourth annual Dome of Rock Festival would be announced for 21 - 23 November 2019 and would quickly sell out.[7] Booking would begin in March[8] with the first announced band on 20 April 2019. The Heavy Eyes were intended to play but would drop off after canceling their European tour.[9]
The 2020 edition of Dome of Rock was planned for 19 - 21 November 2020, but would be canceled on 2 November 2020.[10]
2021[]
The 2021 edition, scheduled for 2 to 4 December 2021 and headlining Orange Goblin and 1000mods was cancelled on the 19th of November 2021 due to the renewed COVID-10 restrictions in Austria. [11]
