The label is established on a DIY aesthetic and emphasizes on limited vinyl.
In 2020 the label would collaborate with Blues Funeral Recordings on the Women of Doom compilation[2]. Desert Records would also begin a series known as Legends of the Desert, starting with the first volume in June 2020 featuring Lord Buffalo and Palehorse/Palerider.[3]
