Descendants of Crom is a heavy metal/doom metal festival in Pittsburgh, starting in 2017. It is billed as a gathering of Rock, Doom, Sludge, and Metal; an all-day fest with two stages fueled by riffs created by the riddle of steel. The festival is sponsored by Full Pint Brewing Company, Black Anvil Coffeehouse, Hellmistress Records, Twin Earth, RiffRelevant and The Obelisk.
2017[]
The 2017 edition of Descendants of Crom was held at Cattivo in Pittsburgh on 30 September 2017. Notably, the set by Penance is a special reunion set featuring the lineup on the Alpha and Omega album (Butch Balich, Mike Smail, Terry Weston, Matt Tuite, Ron Leard and Mary Bielich.). On 29 September 2017 an Acoustic pre-fest would be hosted at Full Pint Wild Side Pub, with performances by JakeTheHawk, MotoMeter, The Long Hunt, Solarburn and Holy Rivals.[1]

The 2018 edition of Descendants of Crom is confirmed for 28 and 29 September 2018 at Cattivo in Pittsburgh, PA. A pre-show is set for 27 September at Howler's.[2]

2019[]
On 5 February 2019 it would be announced that Descendants of Crom would return for their third edition.[3] The 2019 edition would be hosted at Cattivo on 21 and 22 September 2019,[4] with a pre-Gala hosted at Howler's on 20 September.[5] The festival would also host two parties to commemorate their "Doom or Death" beer, the first on 14 September[6] and the second on 17 September.[7] On 14 August it would also be announced that burlesque performer and topless DJ Clea Cutthroat would be the Master of Ceremonies at Descendants of Crom.[8]
ASG were originally intended to headline Friday night's Blackseed Records Stage but had to drop off due to uncontrollable circumstances, with The Obsessed serving as their replacement.[9]

2022[]
Following a hiatus due to the pandemic, Descendants of Crom would officially return in 2022 on 3 & 4 June 2022 at Cattivo in Pittsburgh.[10] It would be officially announced in September 2021[11] with the full lineup and schedule curated by February 2022.[12]
