Cryptic Languages are an instrumental doom band from San Diego, active since 2012.
History[]
Cryptic Languages began sometime in 2012 after Arguelles had left a previous band and joined with Davis and Zafar once they needed a third member.[1] From there the band had performed mostly instrumental psychedelic doom (Though Facebook photos indicate cases of the band performing as a two-piece or even with vocals). Their earliest known show according to Facebook was on 8 February 2013 alongside Mirden, Leather Nun and Old Man Wizard.[2]
From there the band would play shows around the San Diego area and share the stage with the likes of Forgotten Gods, Beira and Thrones to name a few. Eventually the band would release their debut studio release in Razorleaf on 8 November 2014. After a change in lineups with Jason Nunez joining on drums they got back to playing shows such as the Tijuana Rumble Fest in Mexico.[3]
