Clairvoyance is a curated all-dayer event composed by Psychic City Promotions out of Lexington, Kentucky starting in 2019. The inaugural event was composed to celebrate the first anniversary of Psychic City forming as an off-shoot to Kentucky promotion company Vectortone. It was intended to be a yearly event but ultimately the 2019 event was the only hosted Clairvoyance event, as Psychic City would ultimately stop promoting in the Summer of 2022.
Background[]
In March 2019 Psychic City would list a date for 13 July 2019 with the caption "See the Future...".[1] Not long after the inaugural Clairvoyance would be announced with a lineup of twelve bands. Initially Belzebong would be announced to perform but would drop off on 7 April and be replaced by Black Tusk. On 24 April it would be announced that the event would be sponsored by Revolver Magazine, along with food trucks and various local sponsors. The band would hint at a "Lucky 13" on 2 May and ultimately announce Bongzilla as a surprise headliner the next day. On 17 May initially announced band Of Feather and Bone would drop off, with Superstition as a replacement.
On 26 April it would be announced that there would be a pre-fest with Spotlights headlining, touring in support of "Love & Decay". The pre-fest would be announced for 12 July with seven bands on the bill, later eight when Ohlm would be added and back to seven when initially announced band Hyborian would drop off on 1 July. Wrekmeister Harmonies were initially announced but ultimately dropped off on 9 July due to personal reasons.
