Church of Misery / Deer Creek is a Split 12" between the Japanese doom metal band Church of Misery and the Denver, Colorado doom metal band Deer Creek, notably the third contribution to Game Two Records in regards to the former band. It would be released on Black 180g vinyl with a white inner sleeve, limited to 1000 copies. Notably a small erratum insert about the last Deer Creek track would be as follows: The third track of side B is stated as Born to Sin (Saint Vitus / Pentagram medley), but being in fact a Nirvana (Something in the Way) / The Beatles (She's so Heavy) medley.
Church of Misery's track would be a single seventeen-minute jam entitled "The Golden Dawn", featuring samples of Aleister Crowley and the first published track to feature guitarist Tom Sutton. It would be recorded at On Air Studio in Shinjuku on 19 July 2006.
Deer Creek's tracks would be recorded at Module Overload studio (Denver, Colorado) from November 2005 - February 2006.
