Born To Be Doomed was a one-time festival hosted in Maryland as a tribute to Blood Farmers bassist Phil "Dr. Phibes" Markonish, who had died that May aged 44. It would be at Sidebar between 1 and 3 July 2010 featuring a host of doom metal acts.
The first night would notably be a pre-fest featuring Levey, Kalimon and Brown among other guests performing Black Sabbath songs while closing with an all-star Maryland jam session.
The third night on 3 July would notably feature ten bands and a two-hour intermission so everyone could rest and get dinner before the closing ceremonies.
