Bongnosis are a Stoner/Doom band from Invercargill, New Zealand.

History[]

Formed in late 2013 when friends Cleary (vox/guitar), Brady (bass) and Jay (drums) started jamming. Cleary and Brady are the drummer(Cleary) and Lead guitarist (Brady) in local Death Metal band HATRED and Jay is the drummer in local Punk band SILLY DRUNKEN BASTARDS.

Bongnosis play dirty, downtuned riffs with haunting vocals.l their lyrical contents are wide and varied from their love of mother earth to lost loved ones to fantastic voyages and everything in between.

Staunch advocates of the 420 culture, the name says it all

Bongnosis have a single recorded entitled The Lady and the Captain is a tale of adventure on the high seas and have played some down and dirty sludgy gigs.

The band's last post on their Facebook page to date was on 8 August 2015. It is currently unknown if the band is still active.
