Blues Funeral Recordings is a label formed by Jadd Shickler and Peder Bergstrand (Both of whom founded MeteorCity Records in the 2000s) in the Spring of 2018.[1] Blues Funeral would release music from luminary artists in the heavy/stoner/doom/psych ecosphere, with an emphasis on vinyl.
The label would curate a PostWax subscription series in exclusive colors and test pressings. The series was funded via Kickstarter with over $47,000 to help fund the series.[2][3]
The label would also host a compilation series in collaboration with Weedian and collaborate with Desert Records for the Women of Doom compilation in 2020.
A follow-up edition of the PostWax series would be kickstarted in 2021 and would be released from 2022 - 2024.
