Blessed Realm was a doom metal band based out of Durham, England. Initially founded as Tears, Blessed Realm played a style of traditional doom inspired by the likes of Cathedral, Wretched and The Obsessed. The band largely functioned as a quartet but also played as a trio with a drum machine for the recording of their third demo Chasing The Dragon.
During their almost ten-year career, they recorded several demos but an intended full-length album never materialised before the band split up. On 14 July 2017 the band would release a posthumous collection known as Doomography, Containing demo tracks, rare rehearsal recordings and previously unreleased material, hand picked by the band and Jonathan 'Sealey' Seale.[1][2]
