Birdy's was a venue based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded in the late 1990s, Birdy's had a strong focus on original music of all genres but with a lean towards alternative and college/AAA formats. The venue would book any day of the week be it local, regional or national touring acts. Birdy's would ultimately close in 2017.
Birdy's would notably host the first two editions of the doom metal festival Templars of Doom in 2004 and 2005, respectively. Notably, the Finnish doom metal band Reverend Bizarre would play their first show in the United States at the venue.
In 2002 Prince would perform a surprise after-party gig at Birdy's, following a gig at The Murat Theatre.[1]
