Atramentus is a Canadian funeral doom band based in Longueuil, Quebec formed by guitarist and vocalist Phillipe Tougas in 2012. Tougas wrote the band's debut album Stygian and shelved it away for many years. He did eventually assemble a full line-up, but the album would not be recorded until December 2018. The band self-recorded and self-produced it and were eventually signed by 20 Buck Spin.
