Aspen (Formerly known as Cosmic Vishnu) are an instrumental stoner/doom band from Portugal.

HistoryEdit

The band originally formed as Cosmic Vishnu in the mid 2000s by the duo of Veloso Brahma and Tiago Silva. In 2009 the band would release their only EP in this incarnation in the form of Colossus Mountain while playing shows with the likes of Miss Lava to name a few.

Eventually, the duo would a bassist in Vitor Oliveira and become Aspen, with an EP known as Winds of Revenge following two years later. The band would follow with a short tour of Europe in 2012, sharing the stage with the likes of Horisont and Orange Goblin to name a few.[1] with further local shows following.

Aspen's last social activity post to date was on 22 June 2015 so it is currently unknown if the band is still active.
