Arcade Messiah is an instrumental rock project from Sligo, Ireland. Formed by one John Bassett in 2014, Arcade Messiah incorporates a host of different styles (Post-metal, Progressive rock, Doom Metal, Grunge, etc.) to formulate a distinctive instrumental sound.

Since the project's inception Arcade Messiah has managed to release three albums since 2014, one every November.

HistoryEdit

Arcade Messiah began in 2014 as a new musical project at the time for John Bassett. By 24 November the self-titled debut was released on Stereohead, garnering positive reviews from sources such as Prog Magazine. A year later on 22 November 2015 II would see a release with a CD version featuring an exclusive 19-minute piece.

On 25 November 2016 III would be released, further improving on the sound established on the first two records. III would garner heavy praise from review sites such as Metalnexus, Arcticdrones, Nocleansinging and Manofmuchmetal to name a few. Arcade Messiah would go quiet for a couple years before resurfacing in July 2019 with a new EP entitled Hell By Default, a single to promote a forthcoming album set for late 2019. On 26 August a new EP in Diagnosis would also see release.[1]
