Angel Coma (SUNN 66.6) is a split 12" between the drone bands Sunn O))) and Earth. Each song would be recorded in 2005, with the split released in the Spring of 2006 to coincide with a Spring 2006 tour of Europe featuring both bands. It would be limited to 2000 copies on Gold Vinyl, available on tour and via mailorder.
Sunn O)))'s track "Coma Mirror" would be recorded by John Weise (aka Helicopter, White Out) in March and December 2005, with vocals recorded in December. When the track was released on the band's bandcamp page, an alternate version without vocals was available as a bonus.
Earth's track "A Plague of Angels" would be recorded at Aleph Studios in December 2005. It would be re-recorded for the 2007 EP Hibernaculum.
Lastly the artwork used on both sides of the sleeve was done by Dutch painter Pieter Bruegel the Elder (1525 - 1569).
