Among The Missing was a sludge/crust/powerviolence band based out of London, England. They would mix Black Flag style dirty hardcore with sludgey guitars and doomy riffage to produce a fine chunk of noise. Active from 2001 to 2007 the band would release two albums amid several splits and tour around England, performing with a wide arrangement of bands.
Biography[]
Among The Missing was founded in 2001, initially as just The Missing. By 2003 the band had rotated through numerous members and by the end of 2003 established their core lineup with Pat Daintith and Tim Holehouse joining. Among The Missing would play numerous gigs and following appearing on four split releases the band would release their debut album, Disorder Of The Templar, in late 2005.
Among The Missing would released their second album Cease to Exist in 2007 and tour behind it, following with disbanding later that same year. Members of the band have since gone on to join Pombagira, Hygiene, Crumbling Ghost, The Ophelian, And Koresh. Vocalist Tim Holehouse also went onto become well known for his none stop solo tours under the names Tim Holehouse and Timothy C. Holehouse. Among The Missing's two albums, along with a compilation of all their demo and split recordings entitled A Mong Is Missing, saw release digitally via Withered Hand in 2013.
