Ad Astra is the fourth studio album by Spiritual Beggars. The follow-up to 1998's Mantra III, it would be recorded and mixed at Studio Fredman, additional mixing was done at Maestro Musik and Mellotron overdubs were recorded at Studio Helikopter. Notably, it's the last Spiritual Beggars album to feature Christian Sjöstrand on bass and vocals. Ad Astra garnered positive reception upon release.[1][2]

The version released in Japan would feature two bonus tracks in "Let The Magic Talk" and "It's Over". "It's Over" would also appear as a split 7" with Grand Magus released in 2001 via Southern Lord Records.
