Abyssic is a Norwegian symphonic doom / death metal band formed in 1997 under the name Abyssic Dreams and currently composed of Memnoch (vocals, guitar, bass), André Aaslie (keyboard, orchestration), Elvorn (guitar), Makhashanah (bass, vocals) and Tjodalv (drums). The band released its first album, A Winter's Tale, in February 2016 at Osmose Productions, followed by High the Memory in February 2019.
History[]
Abyssic was formed in 1997 by bassist-vocalist Memnoch under the name Abyssic Dreams and recorded a two song-demo together with drummer Athera. Not much happened after that as they focused on their other band Susperia.
Abyssic Dreams went into hibernation and in 2012, but Memnoch wanted to give life to his old project again. The band shortened its name from Abyssic Dreams to just Abyssic.
