Abyssal is a Mexican doom metal band from Tijuana, Baja California formed in 2009 and composed of guitarist/vocalist Fernando Ruiz, bassist Luna and drummer Angel. They have released five studio albums, one split and one compilation in ten years during their career. All of their studio albums consist of one track that clocks in at over 20 minutes in length, with the exception of their debut album Blindness, which is clocks in at only 18:15.

Their fifth studio album Misanthrope was released on October 31, 2018.
