30th Anniversary is a string of shows by Neurosis in March 2016 in observance of the band's thirtieth anniversary since forming in 1985. All three performances would span material through the band's entire career, including songs not performed in many years.
Background[]
On 20 November 2015 it would be announced that Neurosis would play two shows in California in light of their thirtieth anniversary as a band, announcing the likes of Sleep and Shellac as support.[1] Along with these two performances the band would announce headlining shows at Roadburn Festival,[2] the recording of their eleventh album (Fires Within Fires)[3] a career-spanning box set (Strength and Vision)[4] and tours of Europe and the United States, sharing the stage with the likes of Ufomammut, Earth and Discharge among others.[5]
A third date with Negative Approach and Converge would be added once the first two nights had quickly sold out.
