30 Years of Rock N Roll (2021) |
30 Years of Rock N Roll is a tour by the stoner rock band Clutch, in celebration of the band's thirtieth anniversary and the band's first live shows with an audience following the CO-VID19 Pandemic. This tour, with 21 dates announced over three legs, will feature direct support by Stoner, a new desert rock band featuring Brant Bjork, Nick Oliveri and Ryan Gut. Clutch would perform a career-spanning set along with new songs while Stoner would largely play selections from their debut album Stoners Rule.
The first dates announced would be the band's annual holiday tour from 26 - 31 December, the final date notably being at the The Andrew J Brady ICON Music Center, a brand new venue which would open in the Summer of 2021.[1] The Native Howl would serve as direct support for the holiday dates, a band described as "thrash-grass".[2] On 2 June 2021 two more legs would be announced, with Telekinetic Yeti and King Buffalo as support on the first and second legs, respectively.[3]
On 29 December 2021 The Native Howl would announce they were dropping off the tour due to unforseen circumstances, only playing the Maryland date of the tour.[4] That same day it would be announced by Ripple Music that Valley of the Sun had signed with their label and would serve as the opener on the 31 December show.[5] On 1 January 2022, Stoner would postpone their headlining concerts on 1 January in Chicago and 4 January in Philadelphia.
Notably, 30 Years of Rock N Roll would be one of the few 2021 tours without a single cancelled date. in regards to the main touring acts.
