11PARANOIAS are a psychedelic doom metal band from London, England. Forming on 11 November 2011, this heavy trio would feature members of Bong and Ramesses, performing a style of psychedelic doom, described by The Quietus as "a buzzing wall of freak noise to more classic metal/drone signifiers".[1]

History[edit | edit source]

Formed after a jam on 11 November 2011 by Adam Richardson and Mark Greening of Ramesses and Mike Vest of Bong. The band would perform live for the first time at The Black Heart on 10 November 2012, nearly a year after forming.[2] The band would record several songs through 2012 but by the time the sessions were finished, Greening would leave the band to re-join Electric Wizard. Gareth Brunsdon (Eternal, Lord of Putrefaction) would fill in for the 2012 and 2013 shows until Nathan Perrier would join. The group's debut EP Superunnatural was released on the Ritual Productions label on 21 June 2013.

The band's first full-length would follow in Spectralbeastiaries, released on 7 March 2014 and Greening's last recordings with the band. To support the album 11Paranoias would perform at the likes of Roadburn Festival and Desertfest London among marquee shows in England.[3] The band's second studio album Stealing Fire From Heaven would also see release on 10 November 2014, the first 11Paranoias release with Perrier on drums.

Following a string of shows in 2015 including Ritual Productions' fifth anniversary and an appearance at Incubate Festival,[4] 11Paranoias would begin work on a third album. Reliquary For A Dreamed Of World would see release on 28 October 2016, attaining praise from the likes of CVLT Nation[5] and Louder Sound[6] among others. 11Paranoias would play sporadic shows including supporting gigs alongside the likes of Oranssi Pazuzu or appearing at festivals like Raw Power[7] as work began on a fourth record.

Asterismal would see release on 15 March 2019 and attain positive reviews.[8][9]
