1000mods is a psychedelic/heavy rock band from Chiliomodi, Greece. They were formed in the summer of 2006, and since then they have played over 200 live shows, sharing the stage with bands like The Black Keys, Graveyard, Brant Bjork, Colour Haze, The Atomic Bitchwax, Karma to Burn and many more. They are known for their commitment to vintage equipment, thick and heavy analog sound and remarkably passionate stage performances.

History

1000mods formed in 2006 and quickly established a vintage psych/stoner sound all their own, releasing two EPs in their early years (2007's Blank Reality and 2009's Liquid Sleep.

In October 2010, the almighty Billy Anderson visited Greece in order to produce the band’s debut album, while Malleus Rock Art Lab took care of the artwork.  Super Van Vacation was born. In order to promote their debut album, they played 40 shows in 15 countries around Europe, including festivals such as DesertFest, Up In Smoke, Rockwave and Lake on Fire Festival.

After two successful European tours, the band was ready to get down to work again. Their experiences and growth paved the way for their upcoming album, Vultures which was released on the 30th of May 2014. Two European tours followed with a massive two-month tour on October/November 2014 and a tour supporting The Atomic Bitchwax during May 2015.

The band would release a third album in Repeated Exposure to... in 2016. Following touring in support of the record in 2017, the band has plans for their first tour of North America in 2018. A fourth album would be recorded in Seattle to which Youth of Dissent would be released in 2020. 1000mods would resume touring in 2022 and 2023 through Europe, followed by a tour of North America with The Well.
