...In The Shadows Below is the first studio album by the Seattle-based duo known as Year of The Cobra. Recorded in Portland, Oregon with Billy Anderson, it would be released in the Fall of 2016 via STB Records, the band's only release with that label. "White Wizard" would previously appear on their 2015 EP The Black Sun and was re-recorded for this album. Two of the songs would appear as stand-alone singles for the German label H42 Records: A split 7" with Mos Generator in Gamma/Hydra / The Siege[1] and a 7" for Temple of Apollo, exclusive to Hell Over Hammaburg.[2] Music videos would also be produced for Persephone, The Siege and Temple of Apollo.
In The Shadows Below would attain praise from numerous publications such as MetalSucks,[3] Doomed and Stoned,[4] Stoner King,[5] Echoes and Dust,[6] Outlaws of The Sun,[7] Heavy Planet[8] and Wonderbox Metal.[9]
